Bitter Sweet

A chocolate fountain and fairy liquid. The fairy liquid became almost 'whipped' and was aerated until it became a frothy paste.

I built the machine into a plinthe to conceal what it actually was. To the viewer it appeared a strange, moving, bubbling unidentifiable almost life-like creature, constantly changing form and growing.

The menthol scent also filled the atmosphere around it, which added to the sensuous nature of it.

Video coming soon, but for now heres some photos.

The Liquid just added

Bompas and Parr

Gorgeous jelly by Bompas and Parr. I love their work- it's mad yet ingenious. They actually create the kind of idea's you think would never be possible, and execute them brilliantly. Jelly is just the best material, there's something about it that just makes you want to look at it, touch it and eat it.

The best thing about Bompas and Parr is how accessible their work is to everyone- kids obviously love it, but adults and people who have never been into art are entranced by it also. For me that's what successful art is.
